TARA’S HISTORY:

Tara's early exposure to design was shaped by her military family's frequent relocations, which allowed her to experience various architectural styles throughout the country, as well as being involved in assisting her parents with dozens of remodeling and redecorating projects of their many different homes! Inspired by her mother's remodeling successes and her own creative inclination, Tara made the decision at a young age to pursue a career in design, determined to make a meaningful impact in the industry.

Tara's dedication and discipline were instilled at a young age, during her time training as classical ballet dancer, that included time with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and ended up auditioning for and being accepted to dance full time with the prestigious San Diego ballet at the age of 14. This experience taught her the value of hard work, attention to detail, and the importance of personal growth. Unfortunately, Tara's classical ballet career was cut short due to an accident resulting in 5 knee surgeries, and several dozen foot surgeries. Though devastating, these setbacks provided valuable life lessons in resilience, adaptability, and the ability to find beauty in unexpected places.

In the mid-1990s, Tara embarked on her career in interior design, specializing in kitchen design, at which time she was trained on some of the first CAD Kitchen design programs. This allowed her to combine her love for aesthetics and functionality, delighting clients with her innovative solutions and impeccable attention to detail. Building on her success, Tara also ventured into freelance interior design, broadening her skill set and clientele.

In December 2000, Tara made the decision to relocate to St. George, UT, a serene and family-oriented environment that resonated with her values of personal connection and work-life balance. From 2000 to 2008, Tara established herself as the owner and operator of a builder design firm, collaborating with high-end custom home builders in Southern Utah. Some of her projects were included in the prestigious Architectural Digest, as well as the sought after St. George Parade of Homes. She was a key designer in Kevin Costner’s and Robin Williams’s Southern Utah custom homes.

In 2008, Tara made the natural move to the Las Vegas metro, as many of her clients had homes and businesses in both Southern Utah, and Southern Nevada. After shutting down the Utah based design center (due to the building and market collapse at that time) , she was then able to work with some of the top designers in the Las Vegas area as their project manager, cabinet designer, and various other support roles.

As the real estate and financial market collapsed, Tara switched gears and became a marketing consultant that focused on helping home improvement businesses between 2011 and 2017. She gained hundreds of key relationships with many of Southern Nevada’s best home improvement tradespeople. Some of these designers, contractors and other tradespeople were some of Tara’s biggest cheerleaders encouraging and pushing her to once again utilize her skill sets and rejoin her former career in the design field. It was at this time that Tara was trained in custom closet design by one of the industry’s leading closet designers. She focused solely on custom closet and custom built-in designing as well as assisted in the installation project management aspect for 5 years, working on hundreds of projects ranging from simple closets to elaborate 100k plus projects.

With the need and demand from her clients, and home improvement contractors, Tara began adding Kitchen and Bath design and project management, as well as Interior design and decorating services. As this demand increased due to the positive results and experience her clients were having with her, Tara knew that it was time to expand from a one woman show, to a company of design professionals, where she could build a team with like-minded, talented, thoughtful, and passionate designers, and impart her 35 years of experience and knowledge to have this collective be able to serve her community and clientele with a team to provide the best possible experience and results!

Outside of her professional endeavors, Tara values spending quality time with her four adult children and two beloved rescue dogs. In her leisure time, Tara finds joy in attending alternative 80s concerts.
